What a healthy dog needs and how to provide it |
Health: |
The trick to having a healthy dog is being observant and attuned to his needs. Also, there is no one else that knows your Dog better than you do. If you notice any changes in his or hers daily habits or routines that will be a sure indicator that there is something wrong. Remember, Dogs can't talk, but they can communicate just fine with body language and behavioral changes, be observant!
|
Exercise: |
Exercise is good for the physical body and spirit! It is important that your dogs get fresh air and a daily walk. Exercise will help your dog's circulation as well as help eliminate boredom. Just like people, your dog needs exercise. Making sure your dog gets proper exercise will help ensure good body condition and a healthier life overall. Since all dogs have different activity levels depending on size and age, giving your dog the right level of exercise should be determined with the expert advice of your veterinarian.
Whether you choose to walk or run your dog, or just play fetch as part of your daily routine, you'll find that your dog will look forward to the exercise time with you and there is no greater reward than the love and appreciation from our Dogs (smile).

Nutrients - The building blocks of canine fitness |
No matter the ingredients in a dog food, it's important to supply nutrients in a form the dog can use while turning it into growth, energy, and body repair. All organic bodies, plants and animals are made of nutrients. Nutrients that are not used are simply recycled to the earth to feed plant life as the cycle of life continues.
The six basic nutrients needed by living things, which include our dogs are protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals, and water . A well balanced diet combined with daily vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants just assures us Dog owners that our loved ones will live a healthy and vibrant life. Regarding Water, remember water is the most essential, yet often the most overlooked, of all nutrients . Pet owners spend a lot of time figuring out what and how much food they should feed their dogs, but is anyone paying attention to their Dogs water intake – No!

Vitamins and minerals are necessary for proper absorption of fats and carbohydrates and for the chemical reactions in the body. Not only do our organs need these nutrients, but they need them in proper amounts for optimum health for our Dogs.

Riley Says: |
Our goal is to help your dog be healthier, so select his or her foods carefully, make sure they drink plenty of Doggy Java for Hydration and Nutrients. Remember, some diet foods just add fiber to help the dog feel full. This can result in reduced digestibility, large stool volume, and frequent trips to the backyard, including decreased skin and coat condition because the dog isn't getting enough fat and nutrients. Find a food that has normal fiber levels to keep your dog's digestive system working properly. It should have high-quality protein so your dog doesn't lose muscle tone and essential fatty acids to help keep his skin flexible and coat glossy throughout his or her life.
Learn about essential nutrients, life stage and lifestyle formulas, plus weight control strategies, how to address health and exercise issues and much more. Don't forget to read labels for your Dogs too!
One more very important issue, make sure you take your Dog for his or hers yearly Veterinarian visit for their annual examination, you can learn so much by asking your veterinarian to do a nutritional blood test to determine developing weaknesses and imbalances in his or her immune system. |
